Set during World War I, a choral society’s male members enlist into the war effort. This forces the choral director - played by Ralph Fiennes - to recruit the town’s boys to take their place for a performance of Elgar’s “The Dream of Gerontius”. Despite challenges and conflicts, they come together to learn the joys of singing and the power of community.
